It’s Time for a Revolution! Your Vision: You Shall Reign in Life
Are you currently reigning over every situation, circumstance, defeat, and failure in your life? Has your rightful place as king over your domain been usurped by a rebellious insurgent? Well, it’s time for a revolution!
Since you are a king and a lord in the Kingdom of God, (see my last post) you have been given a domain over which you are supposed to reign. Your domain consists of the entire realm of things that concern your life. This includes your health, well-being, mental stability, peace, joy, happiness, financial prosperity, possessions, property, and your family. Your domain includes all for which you have authority, influence and responsibility. And this is not limited to the physical world but also includes the realm in which your spirit dwells.
If you received Jesus Christ as your savior and are filled with the Holy Spirit, you are given the right to reign in life.
For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.
The word translated as “reign” in this verse is the Greek word basileuo, and typically refers to a kingly, judicial rule. A king rules and reigns over his or her domain. That means if something attacks your kingdom, you have the responsibility, authority, and power to defeat the attack. This takes shape primarily in the spiritual world, where the forces of darkness and evil work as well as the forces and power of God.
So if you’re like me, and so far in your life you’ve been abdicating your throne to the devil, it’s time to pick up your royal scepter, start a revolution, and kick some devil butt!
To reign victoriously in the kingdom of your life, you will need to first understand a little about the spiritual world. I will provide some posts soon that describe the basics of operating in the spiritual. However in this post I will start by pointing out that as a king in the Kingdom of God, you do have immense power at your disposal.
Where the word of a king is, there is power;
And who may say to him, “What are you doing?”
Your power is the power of God working in your life. It’s the power of the Creator of the universe working through you and taking total authority over all circumstances and situations.
It’s the power and authority of the Word of God that you speak into both the physical and spiritual realms to crush any demonic attack and cause the physical world to bless you in every way imaginable.
It’s the power to take authority over demonic forces and break curses using the white-hot fire of God and the sanctified blood of Jesus Christ.
It’s the power to lay hands on the sick and see miraculous healing and restoration.
It’s the power to raise the dead back to life.
It’s the power to tap into the wisdom of God every moment of every day as you make key decisions in your life.
It’s the power to take dominion over nature, to calm storms, and turn water into wine.
It’s the power to dream dreams and see visions from the Holy Spirit, and to prophesy about your life and the lives of others.
It’s the power to speak with other tongues, praying with the perfect knowledge of the Holy Spirit.
It’s the power to cause the wealth of the world to move into your bank accounts.
And it is the power to reign over and crush a lifestyle of sin.
As a king in the Kingdom of God, you reign over your domain. You are the head and not the tail; above and not below. So stop letting the enemy reign in your kingdom. Dust off the crown of righteousness given to you by Jesus Christ and pick up your scepter; it’s time for a revolution! Step back up to the throne and take your rightful position as a king under the King and a lord under the Lord. And then praise Jesus for placing you in a position of such magnificent royalty:
You are magnificent, eternally
No one ever will compare to You
(Lyrics from the song Magnificent by Hillsong)
